Welcome to MI Love Linden

Dear Reader,

Welcome to MI Love Linden, a love letter to Linden, Michigan.

With just over 4,000 residents, everyone you meet here is a neighbor. MI Love Linden is a collection of stories that connect us – a celebration of the spaces, places, and people that make up this small town with a big heart.

My name is Alaina, and it’s nice to officially meet you. If you’re local to Linden like me, we may have crossed paths at a downtown shop or community event. Or you may have already come across MI Love Linden on Instagram. 

Since my first post in July 2025, MI Love Linden has been my reason to “stop and smell the flowers” (often literally). I’ve met new people. I’ve learned more about the places and history around me. I’m so thankful for the conversations and encouragement I’ve encountered along the way. 

But even though I love to take photos, I am a writer at heart. And this project has reminded me that while a picture may be worth a thousand words, our community’s story is bigger than what can be captured in a social media post.

With MI Love Linden, I hope to help tell that story.
